The highlight of the parade is the display of colourful and decorated elephants, camels, horses, and other animals by the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Indian Army.
The day is also marked by the distribution of sweets, flag-hoisting ceremonies, cultural events, and patriotic songs being played throughout the country.
